Councilmember Brendan Brandt

Term of Office 2006-2010

Mayor Pro Tem Brendan Brandt has spent over 40 years of his life in Upland.  After graduating from law school he became an associate attorney and later a partner in Varner and Brandt practicing in the areas of business law, real property, employment law and civil litigation with offices in Upland and Riverside.

He and his wife Patti, also a lifelong “Uplander,” have three children attending local schools.  He is active in local youth sports organizations and has served on the Upland YMCA Board.  From 1999-2002 he served on the Upland School District Board of Trustees.

Elected to the Upland City Council in November 2002 and re-elected in 2006, he was appointed Mayor Pro Tem in 2006.  Mayor Pro Tem Brandt serves as Chairman of the Finance and Economic Development Committee and the City/School Committee. As Mayor Pro Tem he serves as the Mayor’s alternate on regional committees.  Additionally, he also serves as the city’s alternate to Baldy View Public & Private Coalition (CLOUT), and as an alternate representative to the Upland Sister City Association and the Water Facility Authority.
