Save Our Subscriptions
The Upland Public Library is reviving our Save Our Subscriptions (S.O.S.) program, inviting individuals, families, and organizations to pick up the price for their favorite magazine subscription. Because of fiscal challenges, we must appeal to our community. Contributing to the S.O.S. program is a wonderful way to share your support of the Upland Public Library with the entire community.

When You Wish a List upon Amazon.com...
We receive many recommendations and requests for new titles, but our budget only allows for a certain number to be added to our collection. To help meet the demand, we have established a wish list on Amazon.com. Kindhearted library lovers can hop online to buy us a book, DVD or CD and have it shipped directly to us. You also can also use the gift option for a bookplate dedication or even first dibs. Please click on the PDF link for more detailed instructions.

Thanks, Target!
Thanks to a generous Early Childhood Reading Grant from Target, we are able to continue our Families For Literacy (FFL) outreach program this year to Upland HeadStart, Tiny Tots, and Pacific Lifeline Shelter. The purpose of FFL outreach is to break the illiteracy cycle by reading books to children who may not have ready access to books at home or to the Library.
Good news for those who love our digital books
Now you can rave about or pan the digital books in the Southern California Digital Library with a star rating. You can also opt for a shorter, 7-day loan period, either as your default or at checkout. And in case you haven't noticed, we've also added titles that are iPod-compatible, too.

Email Notification Is Back!
Please check the inbox and junkmail/spam folders of your email account for messages from uplandplnotices @ ci.upland.ca.us (this email address does not accept mail). The City's IT Services has resolved the email delivery problem, so the Library's email notification service has resumed. If you have signed up for email notification but you are still not receiving messages, please let us know and call (909) 931-4200.
Regardless of whether email notification works, you can always check due dates and availability of "hold" requests via MyCitrus
inside or
outside the Library. You can also call
(909) 931-4210 to review or renew items.
Another way to track library materials is via
LibraryElf.com, an independently run service, not affiliated or associated with the City of Upland or the Upland Public Library. LibraryElf is a web-based email tool for library users to keep track of their library checkouts for one or more library accounts.
