What's New

Reading is So Delicious !

This year’s Summer Reading Program theme is “Reading is So Delicious!” and will run June 8th – July 27th. We will provide some exciting and informative programs for kids, teens, and adults – the whole family is welcome! There will be fun prizes, free books, and opportunity drawings for all participants.

Library Card Required During System Maintenance, June 17th–19th

It may seem funny that we have to ask, but please bring your library card with you when you visit on Monday, June 17th, through Wednesday, June 19th. Maintenance will be conducted June 17th-19th on the Library’s computer system, hosted by the Inland Library Network and powered by Polaris Library Systems. Library staff will be unable to look up or replace library cards or accept payments for overdue fines, lost bills, or hold/rental fees. Staff can renew the loan period only if patrons bring the books to the Checkout Desk. Also, if library patrons check their online accounts during the maintenance window, the online information may not be up to date. However, as long as you have your valid library card in hand, you can check out books and use the free public computers. Library staff can also register new library patrons. We apologize for any inconvenience to patrons, and we appreciate patience and understanding during this time.

Meet Francie!

The Library welcomed a new canine staff member in January 2012: Francie! As a puppy-in-training for the Guide Dogs of America (GDA), Francie will be working at the Library a few hours each day. If you should happen to see Francie, please ask before petting her, especially when she wears her yellow GDA jacket. Her learning the difference between work and play is a very important part of her becoming a great guide dog, and we appreciate your help in her training.
