Historic Downtown Upland, rich in heritage, culture, and community events, is the heart of the City. The City of Upland has initiated the Historic Downtown Upland Specific Plan to guide future growth and economic development in this area of the City. With the proximity to the existing Metrolink Station, there is the opportunity to grow Historic Downtown Upland into a "place to be;" a neighborhood where people can live, work, and shop. The City of Upland is providing free wireless internet access in Upland City Hall, the Upland Public Library, and in the Civic Center courtyard that connects City Hall to the Library. The City of Upland expanded its information technology footprint by adding wireless technology to its existing system. All you need is a wireless-enabled laptop computer, tablet PC, or PDA. The City's network is open to all visitors free of charge and without filters. No special encryption settings, user names, or passwords are required. Wireless users are subject to the terms of the Internet Use Policy.
View PDF FileThanks to the Upland Community Foundation a mural entitled "Citrus Roots...Our Legacy is the first in a series of planned murals dedicated to "Bringing Our Rich History to Life" to be painted on the walls of businesses in Upland's historic downtown. The Foundation is dependent upon the community's financial support. The names of donors of $300 or more will be shown below the mural. Donations may be delivered to the Upland Public Library c/o the Upland Community Foundation.
