What we donít accept:

We do not accept explosives, asbestos, radioactive waste, business waste or medical waste. Please call 909/382-5401 for disposal options.

Please limit each trip to 15 gallons or 125 pounds. Liquids should be in containers no larger than 5-gallons; box items in a single layer.

*New DOT regulations require that some battery terminals be protected to prevent fires from sparks generated from friction during the transport of batteries. Please place tape on the terminals of all batteries except for AA, AAA, C and D batteries. Thank you for your cooperation.

The HHW facility is closed some holidays and days of inclement weather (rain, extreme heat or humidity). You may call the City of Uplandís Integrated Waste hotline for more information: 909/931-4343.

Other Programs at HHW Facility:

Free mulch made from green waste collected throughout the City is available to Upland residents on the last Saturday of each month during HHW collection (35 gallon per trip limit).

Composting bins are available at cost ($50) to City of Upland residents during the HHW program. Look for composting class announcements on your billing inserts, or view bill inserts online while making online bill payment.

HHW materials in good condition are placed in Reuse Sheds for free selection by county residents.

The city distributes free oil and filter transport containers during HHW collection or at the City Yard, Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please use these for transporting oil instead of bottles, jugs, etc.
